However, it was later revealed that the video was not true. So what was assumed about Doddy Sudrajat's actions towards his son-in-law was not proven because the video was edited by netizens.

Therefore, Sunan Kalijaga is reportedly returning to defend Doddy Sudrajat's son-in-law, Haji Faisal. However, when met in the Kasablanka area, South Jakarta, on Friday (31/12) night, the father of Salmafina Sunan firmly denied the circulating information because he believed it violated the advocate's code of ethics.

"An advocate should not, and can be subject to sanctions under the Advocate Law when finished with his client and then switch to the opposing party," said Sunan Kalijaga.

"That can be said to be very unethical. I certainly will not do that," he continued.

2. Directly Clarified to Both Parties

In order to avoid misunderstandings and negative speculation from the public, Sunan Kalijaga has directly conveyed clarification to Haji Faisal and Doddy Sudrajat. He also regrets the emergence of news without seeking confirmation from him.

"I regret that there are some media outlets with a good reputation that have also reported this," he said.

3. Reasons for Resigning as Doddy Sudrajat's Legal Counsel

In addition, Sunan Kalijaga also stated his reasons for resigning as Doddy Sudrajat's legal counsel. He mentioned that due to a discrepancy with his conscience, he took that action.

"When a case we handle does not align with our conscience, there is no need for us to hesitate in taking a stance," he said.

4. Choosing Mediation in Court

Sunan Kalijaga has seen the issue between Doddy Sudrajat and Faisal from two perspectives, which has now become public consumption. However, when Sunan invited Doddy to mediate with his son-in-law, the father of the late Vanessa Angel chose mediation through the court.

"After meeting with Mr. Faisal and his wife, I conveyed it to Mr. Doddy. He said that Brother Sunan had already scheduled mediation with the court for them to sit down together. Mr. Doddy chose that path," explained Sunan.

So that when both parties mediate without legal representation, they can speak from the heart to find a good solution. So that when they proceed to court, there will be no more issues from each party," he concluded.
