Revealing the Salary of DPR Members, Krisdayanti Asserts that Reses Funds are not for Personal Use

Krisdayanti stated that reses funds must be used to absorb the aspirations of the people in their respective electoral districts. These aspirations are then channeled by the representatives of the people.

"Reses funds are not part of the personal income of DPR members, but funds for reses activities to absorb the aspirations of the people in their respective electoral districts," said Krisdayanti through a press release received by the media, Wednesday (15/9).

"These funds must be used by DPR members in carrying out their duties to absorb the aspirations of the people. These aspirations are then channeled by DPR members in the form of legislative work, oversight, and budgeting, as mandated by the constitution," she continued.

Therefore, the PDIP faction member also emphasizes that the constituency funds that come from the people will ultimately return to the people, not for the personal interests of the members of the council.

Furthermore, the mother of Aurel Hermansyah also explains that the activity of absorbing the aspirations of the community is not only carried out by members of the Indonesian Parliament, but also by provinces, cities, or districts in accordance with the mandate of the Law on the People's Consultative Assembly, the People's Representative Council, the Regional Representative Council and the Regional People's Representative Council or the MD3 Law.

"In its implementation in the field, the constituency funds are used to finance various technical aspects of the activity of absorbing the aspirations of the community. The activities take various forms and are also proposed by the community, ranging from regular meetings between the community and members of the Parliament, to specific activities that are the needs of the community. So, the constituency funds that come from the people ultimately return to the people in various forms of activities. The activities of absorbing the aspirations of the community in the electoral districts that have been budgeted by the state not only apply to members of the Indonesian Parliament, but also to members of the Provincial Legislative Council and the City/District Legislative Council in accordance with the provisions of the MD3 Law," she explained.

Previously, Krisdayanti admitted to receiving a salary as a member of the DPR amounting to Rp 16 million. Four days later, the DPR member, who is affectionately called KD, admitted to receiving an allowance of Rp 59 million. There is also an aspiration fund of Rp 450 million received 5 times a year, as well as a recess fund of Rp 140 million received 8 times a year.
