Reza Arap's Story of Having Near-Death Experience at the Age of 9, Waking Up When His Mother's Tears Fell on His Face

Muhammad Reza Oktovian, or commonly known as Reza Arap, is a YouTuber, DJ, and singer-songwriter in a popular music group called Weird Genius. Not only in the music field, it turns out that this man, born on October 15, 1987, was once cast by Adhe Dharmastriya and Fajar Bustomi to star in the movie MODUS (2016).

Recently, he and his mother were exclusively invited by Denny Sumargo to his podcast to talk about his life since divorcing Wendy Walters. Not only that, there is also the most touching story that Reza Arap almost died at the age of 9.

1. Weak Heart

For your information, Reza Arap was born prematurely, where he was born at 7 months in the womb. This caused him to have a weak heart.

His mother explained, “At first, he had seizures, taken to the doctor, turns out there was no problem after being given medication. But in the middle of the night around 2 o'clock, it happened again, so he was immediately taken to the hospital.”

His weak heart makes his activities very minimal compared to children of his age.

“He couldn't even climb stairs to school, he would definitely vomit. So, don't get exhausted and don't do anything heavy,” his mother said.

“I just laugh and I vomit,” Reza Arap added.

2. Once Experienced Clinical Death

Due to frequent seizures, his mother had to go back and forth to the hospital until eventually Reza Arap was pronounced dead. At that time, he was already in the morgue.

“He had been in the hospital for a week and kept having seizures. Then his veins couldn't be infused anymore. His veins were frozen,” said his mother.

Denny Sumargo was shocked and immediately responded, “What happened to Mama when he died?”

“I couldn't cry. I couldn't scream. I still couldn't believe it, just prayed. If possible, I would exchange my life as a parent for his,” she said emotionally.

3. Miracles Come

Continuing the story about near-death experience, the mother revealed that she still couldn't believe it. All she did was pray and cry. However, who would have thought that a miracle would come for this small family.

"When my tears touched his face, he woke up and said 'Mom, don't cry,'" said Reza Arap's mother.

"Yes, he said, 'Mom, don't cry, or Caca will be sad,'" Reza Arap added in the same occasion. Without hesitation, his mother immediately called the doctor for a check-up.

4. Having a Beautiful Dream

Reza Arap also shared his version of the story. When he was pronounced dead, he felt like he was having a beautiful dream.

"It felt like I was playing with my mom, like in a dream. I just remember playing with my mom in the park. Maybe we played for 15 minutes to half an hour. Then my mom asked me to go home, 'Let's go home, Ca.' After that, I woke up," he explained.

5. Doctor Did Not Expect

After the doctor was called, Reza Arap was immediately taken to the ICU for assistance. Admittedly, his mother said that the doctor was also surprised by the incident.

“The cardiologist said his heart had stopped, just like that. That condition had never happened before. Although he often had relapses, it was not as severe as that. In short, there was no breath at all for a while,” she explained.

6. Mother's Prayer for Reza Arap

A mother's love is boundless throughout time. When asked by Denny Sumargo about what needs to be improved in Reza Arap's life, his mother answered that she will always support him and send prayers at all times.

“All Mama has been thinking about is him through prayers. Grant him good health, smooth career, abundant sustenance, and a healthy body. There is nothing else. She never even thinks about herself,” his mother's hope for Reza Arap.
