Reza Rahadian Reads a Touching Long Letter from a 40-Year-Old Fan

Recently, a fan successfully caught Reza's attention with a long letter written through email. Feeling so impressed and touched, the 33-year-old man chose to read it publicly through a post on his personal Instagram account.

"This rarely happens. I received news from my manager that there was an email and I was deeply touched by it. But I shouldn't mention the sender's identity, because I'm not sure if they would like to be mentioned. The subject of the email is 'Just Sharing The Feeling'. It's from a mother of 5 children in Banjarnegara, Central Java. This email really touched me personally and I want to share it," Reza said at the beginning of his video.

1. Entering the 'Bucin' Phase at the Age of 40 and Above

The letter written by the fan is so long and touching. In essence, she is a mother of 5 children from Banjarnegara who is now over 40 years old. Before this, in her life, she had never experienced idolizing someone. And that changed when the writer got to know Reza, precisely in September 2020.

"Knowing you, even from a distance, has changed some things in my life. This is the first time I realize that the role of an idol can be so significant in someone's life. Yes, at the age of 40, this is when the idol phase comes into my life. Sounds so weird, right? And a little bit embarrassing. But that's how it is. The phase that is commonly experienced by people in their teens, I am experiencing it at the age of almost 50. Life can be so ironic," the letter says.

2. The Story of the Writer's Beloved Children

Furthermore, the author explains that his first three children are accomplished in both education and religion. The three of them do not know what it means to be infatuated with celebrity idols.

The author experienced a new complication when he found out that his fourth child was obsessed with K-Pop, especially BTS. The author admits that it was surprising and confusing.

"Imagine having three siblings who are not interested in K-Pop, and then there's the fourth one who is obsessed with it. It makes me feel disconnected. A little bit shocking," the author explains.

3. Feeling Helped by Reza Rahadian

Now, the author who feels disconnected from his fourth child feels helped by Reza. Because Reza himself is currently in a phase of idolizing the actor from Bogor, so the author can understand the feelings experienced by his child.

"And maybe that's why Allah gave me the spiritual experience of idolizing an artist, you, the one and only so far. This makes me a little more empathetic towards the turmoil experienced by my teenager. The euphoria and overflowing joy when watching their idol. I can understand that. You know, Reza, feeling disconnected from your child is one of the things I fear the most as a parent. Knowing you, it keeps me away from that feeling. At least with the fourth one. It's so precious. Thank you so much," the author adds.

After reading the entire contents of the letter, Reza then gave a message to the writer. The winner of the 'Best Male Lead Actor' category at the 2013 Indonesian Film Festival also expressed gratitude for the writer's touching expression of feelings.

"Wow thank you so much for sharing this story. Yes, I read it, I was deeply moved reading this. Thank you for sharing and hopefully what I just shared can also make you notice that yes, I read your email and with this overflowing heart, hopefully there are other people out there who can feel the same way.
