“It might still sound a bit strange to hear the name Halte Petukangan D'MASIV. You could say this is a dream come true because D'MASIV grew on Jalan Ciledug Raya. We struggled from a deficit, not zero, but a deficit,” said Rian at Halte Petukangan D'MASIV, Monday (3/3/2025).

He also conveyed that the name change of this bus stop has just been decided. Last week, they were still using it for meetings and rehearsals.   “Last week there wasn’t any, we were still in meetings, rehearsals, earlier at Petukangan D'MASIV. Thank you to TransJakarta for believing we can be an example for the community, young people, Gen Z, Gen Alpha to love public transportation,” he said.

As a band that has toured the world in the last three years, Rian sees how advanced public transportation is abroad. He hopes the same can happen in Indonesia.

“Alhamdulillah, D'MASIV in these three years has toured around the world to America, Europe, Australia, and Asia. We go to countries with great public transportation, so sometimes we dream that Indonesia, Jakarta, everyone uses public transportation. Maybe this can reduce traffic congestion on the roads,” he said.

For D'MASIV, this project is not just about naming a bus stop, but also part of their hope for the advancement of public transportation in Indonesia.

“Once again, thank you to TransJakarta for believing in D'MASIV, and maybe this is a special gift for us because today D'MASIV turns 22 years old,” said Rian.

He also emphasized that maintaining the band's existence for more than two decades is not an easy task.   “It's not easy to be a band that lasts a long time,” he concluded.
