However, it turns out that Ricky had a history of heart disease that led him to undergo medical procedures several years ago.

Wendi Putranto, the manager of Seringai, revealed that the heart attack Ricky experienced in Tokyo was the second incident. Previously, Ricky had a similar attack in 2014 and underwent the installation of two stents.

"So indeed before leaving, there were no health problems, the deceased was healthy and enjoying this tour very much. So this was the second heart attack, the first one was a long time ago in 2014, after the first attack he had a stent placed, there are two stents," said Wendi at the Sentosa funeral home, RSPAD Gatot Subroto, Central Jakarta, Thursday (24/4/2025).

Since undergoing that procedure, Ricky's health condition was known to be stable and showed no signs of serious disturbances. Even during the tour 'Seringai Wolves of East Asia Tour 2025' which has been ongoing since April 10, Ricky appeared enthusiastic and spirited.

"After that, there was nothing else, that's why what was shocking yesterday was just five minutes after performing, the situation was still very happy," said Wendi.

Ricky's last performance with Seringai in Japan on the night of the incident was even recorded in a video that circulated on social media. There was nothing to indicate Ricky was in distress; instead, his performance looked excellent and full of spirit as usual.

"Because maybe friends have seen the video on social media that at the last concert there were no signs of him being in distress or tired," said Wendi.

3. The Process of Returning the Body from Japan Went Smoothly

With the background of that heart condition, the process of returning the body from Japan could be carried out without an autopsy. This was after Ricky's wife explained her husband's medical history to the local authorities.

"So when he collapsed in Japan yesterday, there should have been an autopsy procedure, but when his wife went there to meet with the police and the hospital, explaining the deceased's medical history, the Japanese authorities and the hospital agreed that an autopsy was not necessary, which is why Ricky's return could be expedited by one day," Wendi revealed.
