Risty Tagor Actually Feels Sad Ahead of Eid, This is the Reason

While many people are joyfully welcoming the upcoming Eid al-Fitr, artist Risty Tagor actually has a slightly different feeling. Not without reason, she admits to always feeling sad when the month of Ramadan is about to end.

According to her, this sadness arises because she will miss the special spiritual moments filled with forgiveness during the fasting month. For her, the essence of Ramadan is much deeper than just a celebration on the day of victory.

"I always feel sad when Eid is approaching because Ramadan is about to end. The moments of forgiveness, the abundance are about to finish," said Risty Tagor when met in the Ampera area, South Jakarta, some time ago.

Even so, this 37-year-old woman still has something she looks forward to when Eid arrives, which is being able to gather with relatives who are rarely seen on ordinary days.

"The thing I miss most about Eid is actually meeting many relatives that we only see during Eid," she added.

Another tradition that she never misses is sending parcels or hampers to each other. For Risty, this is not just a trend, but a form of kindness to show affection to loved ones.

"In Islam, giving gifts to each other is a form of goodness. It is a sign that we care for one another as Muslims," said Risty.

Values of goodness like these are what he always instills in his three children. According to him, the best way to teach children to share is by providing direct examples as parents.

"Definitely. With activities like this, it is actually a goodness, that children tend to emulate their parents. If their parents do not make sharing a habit, the children will see that oh, that is not something beautiful," he concluded.
