JFW officially opened by Svida Alisjahbana, Chairwoman of Jakarta Fashion Week and CEO of GCM Group, at Fashion Tent, Senayan City, Jakarta, on Tuesday (22/10/2019).
Reported by Liputan6.com, this event will showcase works from more than 270 labels and designers, both domestic and international.
There are 2,800 latest collections by designers, including some works by Indonesian Fashion Forward designers.
According to Svida, this event serves as a platform for designers, especially young designers.
Even as reported by Liputan6.com, Svida revealed how the fashion development in Indonesia is growing rapidly.
It's not wrong, because several local brands are starting to be noticed. The fashion market is not only dominated by foreign designers and brands now.
Svida even claimed that it is inseparable from the role of JFW. "Because the existence of Jakarta Fashion Week sharpens Indonesian labels into professional labels," she said to Liputan6.com.
