Sacrificing 6 Cows & 11 Goats, Raffi Ahmad Tries to Slaughter His Own Sacrificial Animal

Eid al-Adha this year is very different for Raffi Ahmad and Nagita Slavina. Mama Amy, Syahnaz, and Nisya are currently on vacation in Australia. Raffi and Gigi are celebrating this Eid al-Adha alone.

However, this doesn't diminish the meaning of this Islamic holiday for Raffi and Gigi. They sacrificed 6 cows and 11 goats to be distributed to several areas. Not only that, Raffi even tried to slaughter his sacrificial animal himself!

This Iduladha holiday is celebrated together by Raffi and Gigi. They not only perform the sacrificial ritual, but also actively participate in the moment of slaughter.

Little Rafathar also seems enthusiastic to see the slaughter process this time.

This year, Raffi and Gigi sacrificed a total of 6 cows and 11 goats. One of the heaviest cows weighed one ton!

"(This year's sacrifice) 6 cows, 11 goats, while here (Andara) 3 cows and 5 goats. Lebak Bulus 2 cows and 5 goats. At the peak, 1 cow for Kartika Putri's husband, 1 goat for Mama Rita," said Raffi Ahmad when met at his house in Green Andara Residences, Cinere, Depok, West Java, on Sunday (11/8).

Raffi directly participated in the sacrifice ceremony this time. He tried to set a good example for his child in the act of sacrifice.

"Informing Rafathar that if we are well-off and have extra blessings, sacrificing is obligatory. Because it is already a command from Allah in the teachings of Islam," explained Raffi Ahmad.

The sacrifice was performed near their residence. This is also the first time Raffi personally slaughtered his sacrificial animal.

Nagita herself admits that she can't bear to see the animal slaughter process. "No (I can't watch). Just look from afar. I stepped back with other mothers, earlier (Raffi) told me that there was a goat being slaughtered," Nagita concluded.
