Sad Story of Andhika Mahesa who Tells About His Mother who Suffers from Depression, Crying in Prostration While Apologizing

Andika Mahesa started his career as the vocalist of Kangen Band. Who would have thought that behind Andika's success, there is a sad story about his mother who has been suffering from depression for years.

He mentioned that his mother has been experiencing depression since Andika was only two months old. The cause of her depression is the separation from her husband when Andika was still young.

"My mother is depressed, not normal like us. Since they separated from my father, I was a two-month-old baby when they separated," said Andika as quoted by YouTube Orami Entertainment, Thursday, December 22, 2022.

"I was taken care of by my aunt and my father. So my father works, comes home, gives money, and leaves again," he continued. "I met my mother almost 5 years ago, sometimes I remember, sometimes she speaks incoherently, but it makes me sad because it was the first time I was visited by my own biological mother," he said.

When he found out and met his biological mother, Andika admitted that he immediately cried. He prostrated himself at his mother's feet while apologizing.

"Oh, I cried immediately, I prostrated myself at her feet. I didn't know, I had never seen her before, my father had hidden her, I wasn't allowed to know," said Andika Mahesa.

Andika admitted that he only saw his mother's face after his father passed away. "Maybe because my father had passed away, they dared to express it. I cried when I was in rehab, I regretted that he saw me in jail, and I have changed since then," he added.

"I entrusted Andika to Nyi Blorong and Nyi Roro Kidul, and my tears fell from there. It's embarrassing that we met when I fell (drug case)," he concluded.
