Ade Andriani, the wife of the late actor Sandy Permana, firmly denies the allegation that her husband ever spat at Nanang Irawan, also known as Nanang Gimbal. She stated that her husband was a polite person and could never have committed the actions alleged by the suspect.
Ade feels that the accusations made by Nanang are a form of self-defense by twisting the facts. She claims that her husband never spat or acted cynically as claimed by the suspect.
"No, never, because I know the nature and character of my husband, my husband has ethics, he wouldn't do that, and they say my husband is cynical, now who is the cynical one?," said Andriani when contacted by reporters on Saturday (17/1/2025).
"You can ask all the residents in that housing who is cynical? If not the perpetrator, he is twisting the facts seeking the truth, false statements, and self-defense," added Ade.
The police also revealed the suspicion of the involvement of Nanang Gimbal's wife in helping her husband escape. According to Ade, Nanang's wife appeared to show suspicious behavior after the tragic incident.
"Yes, there is, there are signs of covering up. They said the information is that she was the one who accompanied her husband to escape. Right after the incident, she immediately took her husband away to escape," revealed Ade.
For his actions, Nanang Irawan has been charged under Article 338 of the Criminal Code regarding murder, with a maximum prison sentence of 15 years. However, according to Ade, this sentence is considered inadequate compared to the actions taken against her late husband.
"For me, 15 years is too little, because it won't be proportional to the act," Ade explained.
She even hopes that the perpetrator receives a harsher punishment, such as life imprisonment or even the death penalty. "Yes, if possible more, I would prefer life imprisonment or the death penalty," she concluded.
