Selling Chicken Noodles, Ibnu Jamil Not Afraid of Competition

“Alhamdulillah, there are still jobs. There are still people who believe in front of the screen, in front of the big screen, many still invite me. So far, there are still several brands that I collaborate with,” said Ibnu Jamil during an interview with the media via zoom, Friday (8/5).

1. Selling Chicken Noodles

However, Ibnu Jamil still wants to be productive even in a situation like this by selling chicken noodles called Mantab Jon. Even though he only sells from home, at least there is an activity that can be done to fill his free time.

“When the President announced that the coronavirus had entered Indonesia, we were initially stuck and then the PSBB was implemented, we were almost without any activities, confused about what to do. Finally, I created this activity. So the house is not completely empty. Alhamdulillah, this idea was born, hopefully, it can be liked by friends, especially noodle lovers,” he said.

2. Not Afraid to Compete

The culinary business of bakmi (noodles) among celebrities is not something new. Many celebrities have previously succeeded with their bakmi businesses. Ibnu Jamil is not afraid to compete with existing bakmi brands.

"Compete with big brands? No, I'm confident with the market. As long as we have something good and offer something good, we will still have a peaceful place," said Ibnu Jamil.

"Indonesia has a lot of bakmi lovers and Indonesians have a big appetite. So we believe that if we have a good product, it will be sought after. Because taste will never betray the tongue," he concluded.
