Died on Saturday (1/6) in Singapore at 11.50 local time, the departure of Ani Yudhoyono brings deep sadness to anyone. Since February 2019, she has been fighting against blood cancer, and now Ani has passed away taking her last breath.

Not only known as a warm and friendly figure, Ani also always faithfully accompanied Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) in his career. Let's remember the 6th First Lady of Indonesia from her youth until her last breath.

Born in Yogyakarta, Indonesia, on July 6, 1952, Ani Yudhoyono briefly studied medicine at the Indonesian Christian University. The study did not continue because she had to accompany her father who was transferred to Korea.

Ani Yudhoyono is the third child of seven siblings. She is one of the daughters of Lieutenant General (Ret) Sarwo Edhie Wibowo and Hj. Sunarti Sri Hadiyah.

July 30, 1976, became a historic day for Ani Yudhoyono. On that date, she married SBY, who at that time had just been inaugurated as an officer of the Indonesian National Armed Forces.

Living in a household with SBY certainly faces various challenges, but they are often seen affectionate together.

The first son, Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY), finally appeared to color Ani and SBY's household. This photo was taken when AHY was 40 days old in 1978.

The presence of their second son finally became a blessing for Ani and SBY. It is seen how close Ani is with her two sons in the moments before leaving for Dili - Timor Leste in 1985.

They also briefly lived in America, when Ani and her two sons accompanied SBY who was continuing his studies. This photo was taken in Washington DC in 1990.

Remaining loyal to accompany SBY on duty, Ani, SBY, and Ibas took the time to meet Ani's mother in 1995.

Ani continued to be by SBY's side throughout his military career. In this photo, Ani shows her love for Indonesian traditional fabric. Surely, this is an official moment when SBY became Kasdam Jaya with the rank of Brigadier General.

When SBY struggled with his political career, Ani continued to provide support. As KLovers know, Ani served as the first lady during SBY's leadership for 2 terms.

She also had the opportunity to meet Michelle Obama at the opening reception of the G-20 Summit in Pittsburgh, United States, on September 24, 2009.

As the end of their term approached, Ani and SBY fulfilled their duties as leaders of the nation. Since leaving office, Ani has spent more time with her children and grandchildren.

On February 2, 2019, Ani began intensive treatment in Singapore after being diagnosed with blood cancer. Therapy and treatment continue to be pursued for her recovery.

Fate said otherwise, on Saturday (1/6) Ani Yudhoyono passed away. Certainly, everyone mourns, especially those who had sent encouraging souvenirs to Ani during her fight against cancer.
