Shandy Aulia's Father Reveals Divorce Facts, His Wife Converted to Islam Before Changing Her Mind

When they were still dating, Shandy's parents embraced different beliefs. However, when they got married, her mother was said to have converted to Islam, but later changed her mind in the midst of their marriage.

"It's not (marrying) the Muslim way, Mama did convert to Islam. After that, Mama, you changed your mind and wanted to go back to Christianity," her father confirmed Shandy's explanation.

2. Offering to Follow Their Respective Beliefs

Shandy's father actually hoped that his wife would return to her previous belief while still maintaining their marriage. However, it seems that Shandy's mother has made up her mind to separate.

"It was actually Papa who wanted that, not Mama. So Papa offered to follow their respective beliefs, but Mama refused and insisted on separating. But the process took more than a year," Shandy's father concluded.
