Sissy Prescillia and Vanesha Prescilla Star in a Movie Together, Worried About Not Getting Chemistry

"When I found out that I would be acting together with my sister, I was like, can I do it or not. Because we are very playful, so I was afraid," Sasha said when met at Metropole XXI, Cikini area, Central Jakarta, on Thursday (7/10/2021).

"At that time, I told Sasha, 'Don't be afraid, we can do it, we will definitely be able to.' Because in a film, it's not like you're offered the role today and shooting starts tomorrow, there is a process. There is a reading, meeting with other cast members. We read the script and laugh, until we understand the points, the mood, and where the emotions should be conveyed," Sissy added on the same occasion.

1. Vanesha Has Not Made Her Film Debut Yet

Sissy Prescillia said that the offer to sing and act in the film BACKSTAGE came to her in 2016. At the time of the offer, she suggested Vanesha Prescilla's name as her co-star to Robert Ronny, the producer.

Considering that Sasha had not yet appeared in any films at that time, the producer was still considering it. Years after the initial discussion, it turns out that Sasha has become a famous actress whose films are watched by millions of people. The producer is confident in pairing Sasha with Sissy.

"I got the offer for this film in 2016 when the producer and I were in Japan. When we were looking for an actress to play her sister, I said I had a sister, she's a model. When asked 'Can she act?', I said 'I don't know ha ha ha'. Because the project kept getting postponed, Sasha had already gone through her career journey, and finally we met. It's really fate," explained Sissy.

BACKSTAGE, which will be released in theaters on December 30, 2021, tells the story of Sandra, who has to be a shadow singer for Elsa, her sister. As Elsa's career soars, many things happen that heat up the relationship between the siblings.
