Status Report of Nikita Mirzani Regarding Illegal Recording Escalates to Investigation Stage, There Are Allegations of Legal Violations

The case involving Nikita Mirzani has entered a crucial new chapter. Fahmi Bachmid, as the legal counsel, announced that the police report he filed regarding the alleged illegal recording has officially escalated to the investigation stage.

He showed the Notice of Commencement of Investigation (SPDP) that he received a few days ago from the Cyber Directorate of the Metro Jaya Police.

"I received the notice of the commencement of the investigation, or what is commonly referred to as SPDP," he stated when met in the Antasari area, South Jakarta, on Wednesday (6/8/2025).

This report relates to the recorded conversation between Ismail Marzuki and Reza Gladys, which has become one of the main pieces of evidence in the case currently ongoing at the South Jakarta District Court.

"This SPDP is related to the existence of recordings in the case currently ongoing at the South Jakarta District Court with the defendant Nikita Mirzani," explained Fahmi Bachmid.

With the elevation of the report's status to investigation, Fahmi Bachmid argues that the legality of the recordings should now be seriously questioned. According to him, this indicates that the police have found elements of a criminal event in the recording process.

"This means that with the investigation process, it is reasonable to suspect that the documents involved in the case currently being tried in the name of the defendant Nikita Mirzani and Ismail Marzuki are likely to be documents that violate the law," he asserted.

Fahmi explained that the act of recording someone's conversation without permission, known as interception, is a serious criminal offense according to the ITE Law.

"So the recording was made by an individual who recorded Ismail Marzuki's conversation," he continued. Therefore, he requested that all evidence derived from that recording be declared invalid and without evidentiary power in court.

"Thus, I will request that all those pieces of evidence be declared invalid and have no power for the evidentiary process," Fahmi concluded.
