Still a Witness, Rachel Vennya is Ready if Declared a Suspect

Kapanlagi.com - The status of Rachel Vennya after being examined by investigators from the Directorate of General Crime Investigation of the Jakarta Metropolitan Police regarding the case of escaping from quarantine was affirmed by Indra Raharja to still be a witness. However, if her status is elevated to a suspect, the ex-wife of Nikko Al Hakim stated that she is ready and will undergo the applicable legal process.

"Yes (ready to be a suspect). The point is that Rachel is ready to follow the legal process. She will be obedient and comply with this ongoing legal process," said Indra when met at the Jakarta Metropolitan Police on Monday (1/10).

During the examination, Rachel Vennya was bombarded with 38 questions by investigators. She was able to answer all the questions, which took approximately 6 hours.

"38 questions, still as a witness. Those are the investigation materials (questions) about the chronology. I will not share further," said Indra Raharja.

Unfortunately, after undergoing an examination, Rachel Vennya chose to remain silent and refused to answer questions from the media.

As is known, Kodam Jaya as the Joint Task Force Command (Kogasgabpad) Covid-19 recently confirmed that Rachel Vennya was suspected of fleeing while undergoing quarantine after returning from the United States.

In relation to this case, Rachel Vennya is charged under Article 93 of the Indonesian Law Number 6 of 2018 concerning Health Quarantine and Article 14 of the Law Number 4 of 1984 concerning Infectious Disease Outbreaks.
