For the past few months, the beautiful singer Sulistyowati or better known as Sulis now has a new activity outside of music. The 32-year-old singer is currently busy with her new culinary business called Bebek Manjah. Among many business fields, Sulis is more interested in venturing into the culinary field.

"Culinary is a basic necessity. So, culinary is never-ending, God willing. We have Bebek Manjah, from breeding to butchering, cleanliness, and cooking, all done by the students of the pesantren in Solo," said Sulis at Pasar Jaya Cikini, Central Jakarta, on Saturday (11/6/2022).

"So, we teach them entrepreneurship. We can claim that we process Bebek Manjah in a way that is in accordance with religious practices. From cutting, the way to cook, serving, everything is halal," added Sulis.

Currently, Bebek Manjah already has three branches. The first one is in Pasar Santa, South Jakarta, Tomang, West Jakarta, and the last one is in Pasar Jaya Cikini, Central Jakarta. "So this is Bebek Manjah, Manjah means success. We hope this place becomes a beneficial place for many people. We open several branches, in Pasar Santa, and in Tomang," he said.

As a singer and also the owner, Sulis knows very well the needs of the buyers to feel comfortable when enjoying dishes from Bebek Manjah. He provides live music at every Bebek Manjah outlet. Interestingly, Sulis and the band entertain the buyers.

"If it were up to me, my soul is music. That's why I combine many places to eat with live music because people enjoy it. We rotate every weekend. Friday night and Saturday night. Saturday here, Friday at Santa Market. The next day, I'm in Tomang," said Sulis.

Running a culinary business is not easy, even though Sulis' name is well-known. According to her, her fame is an added value to her business. However, she still looks for ways to attract people to come and buy food from Bebek Manjah itself.

"Branding, people knowing me is a plus point for me. How can people come and feel comfortable on their own, I'm grateful that many come," said Sulis."If this is still a crawling stage, I am guided by my husband. I can't walk on my own yet, I still need constant help and guidance from my husband to achieve his expectations. So, I become an entrepreneur who creates job opportunities for many people," Sulis concluded.
