Through this event, Dany Barca shared the story of his early career as a make-up artist. Interestingly, he admitted that he didn't have any background in MUA at the beginning.

"Coincidentally, I had no background in make-up at all. After graduating from high school, I worked in the hospitality industry," he said.

1. Starting From Photography

At that time, Dany Barca admitted to being interested in the world of photography. While working at a hotel, he met a guest who was a photographer and asked for advice and suggestions for his works. Getting praise and approval from the photographer, Dany immediately quit his job.

From the world of photography, Dany then learned various things related to it, ranging from styling to make-up. From there, Dany held three jobs at once as a photographer, fashion stylist, and make-up artist.

2. Choosing Make-up

Because he had to handle three jobs at once in one photoshoot session, Dany admitted to being overwhelmed and facing difficulties. He then decided to choose one and focus on it.

"Finally, I chose make-up because I already had the tools and equipment," he said.

3. First Celebrity Make-up

Dany then shared about the first time being involved with a local celebrity. He revealed that the first Indonesian celebrity he made up was Momo Geisha in 2016/2017.

It all started from a DM from his friend who asked Dany to do Momo Geisha's make-up when she was in Malang. Of course, this offer was gladly accepted by Dany. From there, his career opportunities widened, and he now collaborates with many famous artists such as Raisa and Pevita Pearce.
