Kapanlagi.com - Turah Parthayana, the creator of Mantappu Corp and CEO of Belinsky Studio, has launched his latest short film titled JARAK ANTAR KANVAS. The film premiered exclusively at Kota Cinema Mall, Jatiasih on September 26, 2023.

The film JARAK ANTAR KANVAS features the romantic couple Jerhemy Owen and Erika Richardo as the main cast. In addition, the film also involves several well-known TikTok content creators, including Aidan Mirza.

One interesting aspect of this film is Turah Parthayana's decision to involve TikTok content creators in the production. He hopes that through this film, TikTok content creators will try something new, including venturing into the world of acting.

"I want to invite TikTokers to other platforms to try something new," said Turah Parthayana in a press conference at Cinema Mall, Jatiasih, on Tuesday (26/9/2023).

However, Turah also admitted that involving TikTok content creators in films is not always easy.

"As a producer and actor, it's difficult to invite TikTokers because they talk fast, so there has to be adjustment," he said.

2. Filming 'JARAK ANTAR KANVAS'

Turah also revealed that the film JARAK ANTAR KANVAS was completed in a short time, namely 1.5 months. The shooting process itself was done in Jakarta and Bandung.

"This is a small project and we are looking for friends who need a portfolio. So, actually, if we have ideas, we can make them happen. We shot for five days in Jakarta and Bandung," said Turah.

Erika Richardo, the main actress in this film, shares her experience about her involvement in JARAK ANTAR KANVAS. Initially, she felt confused when Kak Turah proposed the idea of replacing the female actress in the film.

"Initially, Kak Turah offered to replace the female actress, and I was hesitant. Eventually, I tried to learn acting for this short film," said Erika.

In JARAK ANTAR KANVAS, Erika Richardo plays Elisa, who has a long-distance relationship with Kevin (played by Jerhemy Owen) in Bandung. Erika also shares her interesting experience of acting with Jerhemy Owen, who is also her real-life boyfriend.

"Actually, it's more cringe, acting with your boyfriend. I didn't want to do the kissing scene, but Owen wanted to," concluded Erika.

The film JARAK ANTAR KANVAS tells the love story of Kevin and Elisa who are trapped in a long-distance relationship after Elisa continues her studies in Bandung. The inspiration for this film was taken from Turah Parthayana's personal experience, who was inspired by Jerhemy Owen and Erika Richardo's long-distance relationship in the Netherlands and Jakarta, which they often shared through social media.

Although the film screening event is exclusive, the film JARAK ANTAR KANVAS will be released on Turah Parthayana's YouTube channel on September 29, 2023. This film is his latest project after the success of his previous works such as LOVE IN RUSSIA, YUBI, WONG TILAR, and many more.
