The idea to start a business initially arose when Sendy sold most of her clothes that were piling up in the closet. This is because many of her clothes are now rarely worn even though they are still in good condition.

"It started from the intention to clean up the closet, there were too many clothes that were not being used. So I sold my preloved clothes online on Instagram. From clothes that were originally purchased for hundreds of thousands or millions of rupiah, I sold them at drastically low prices. On average, all of them are priced below Rp 150,000," Sendy Mamahit said to reporters recently.

Unexpectedly, the response from netizens was very good. Therefore, she decided to take her business more seriously. In the end, she sells a collection of premium quality preloved clothes.

"That's why when I'm currently on a break from shooting, I'm also pregnant, and while filling up my free time, Sendy Mamahit Collection Boutique was created. So I sell not only clothes but also supporting accessories, such as bags, sandals, shoes, earrings, necklaces, bracelets, hats, perfumes, and others," Sendy added.

Sendy has even prepared a tagline for her business, which is 'When else can you shop with super cheap prices but still look stylish with luxurious items?'. In essence, Sendy wants to embrace a universal target market through Sendy Mamahit Collection.

"Especially in the midst of this Covid-19 pandemic, people will think twice about buying expensive items. But here, they can get high-quality items at super cheap prices," she explained.

2. Unexpected Incident on Launching Day

There was a quite surprising incident that happened coinciding with the launching day of Sendy Mamahit Collection Boutique. Suddenly, her child experienced seizures and had to be rushed to the hospital. However, all event preparations had been completed.

"On the launching day, approximately 2 hours before the event, my child suddenly had seizures or what people commonly call a fit. My husband and I were ready for the opening preparations, but suddenly my child had a high fever. I immediately carried my child and screamed hysterically to bring him to the hospital," Sendy said.

In the end, her child was saved thanks to the doctors' treatment at the hospital. At that time, Sendy actually intended to postpone the boutique's launching process because she was reluctant to leave her child at the hospital.

"But my husband asked me to go home and continue the event. He said, it's a pity for the friends who have come. At least, the ribbon cutting and rice cone ceremony should still be carried out as a requirement. Finally, I followed my husband's advice to go home and inaugurate the boutique," she concluded.
