Strong Mother, This Is How Arumi Bachsin Balances Time Between Household Affairs & Work

Arumi Bachsin has now transformed into a very tough mother in managing her household and career. She admits that her maternal instincts often emerge automatically, especially when it comes to ensuring that the needs of all her family members are met.

One moment that shows her busyness is when her children face school exams. Even while at work, Arumi makes time to monitor their study preparations via phone calls.

"The kids are taking exams, but I’m not confident about my child, 'Have you studied yet?'. So wherever I am, I still call home to make sure they have studied. Then when the exams are happening, I ask, 'Did you do well earlier? How about Kenan? How did Kalea do?','" said Arumi Bachsin when met in the Epicentrum area, South Jakarta, recently.

Arumi also reminisces about how she used to be a spoiled person. However, after having her own family, she feels an extraordinary strength that allows her to handle many affairs at once.

"Her mother was really one of those spoiled ones, I mean she still looks a bit spoiled now, but from being a spoiled child, when she became a mother, it turns out she could do it," she said.

"When I'm working, my thoughts are on the child, especially if at the same time the father also has work, needs clothes, and I'm the only one who knows about the clothes," she continued.

She often has to give detailed instructions to the household regarding her husband's needs. This ability to manage many things at once makes her feel that every woman actually has a heroic side within herself.

"So I’ve been busy calling family, 'Please prepare this shirt for Dad, this one.' And at that moment, I sometimes feel like, 'Oh, this is what they call a woman, like Wonder Woman, right? Managing everything with one body,'" she explained.

For Arumi, the key to surviving a busy routine is not to think too much. She prefers to take action and complete her tasks rather than waste energy complaining.

"You have to get used to it. And more action, less thinking, that’s the key to being a mother. So just do it, think about it later. Because if we think too much, we’ll get tired first. Sometimes we don’t even realize how big and how many tasks a mother has," she said.
