Successful in Singing, Mahalini Raharja Makes Acting Debut in the Film 'WHEN TO MOVE HOUSE'

Kapanlagi.com - Having successfully released several singles that make music enthusiasts feel sad, Mahalini Raharja tries her hand at acting. She made her debut in a family drama titled WHEN TO MOVE HOUSE.

In this film directed by Herwin Novianto, Mahalini plays the character named Kanaya. Kanaya is portrayed as the third child in a simple family who often becomes a mediator whenever her siblings have problems.

1. Different Characters

Admittedly, Kanaya's character is not much different from Mahalini's personal life. Because the singer of the song Sisa Rasa is also the third child in her family.

"Kanaya is the youngest child who can be said to be closest to her mother. Coincidentally, I am also the third child at home, so I can relate to being teased by my older siblings and my mother," said Mahalini when met in the Duren Tiga area, South Jakarta, recently.

2. Longtime Desire to Act

Mahalini Raharja's decision to enter the acting world is not intended as a diversion. Because she has long wanted to showcase her talent in a field that has fascinated her for a long time.

"From the beginning, I have always wanted to act in films. Now that I am in the entertainment industry, I thought I might as well give it a try. Besides singing, I have always been very interested in acting," said the singer who rose to fame through the Indonesian Idol event.

3. Initially Nervous

In her acting debut in KAPAN PINDAH RUMAH, Mahalini Raharja was initially nervous to meet her senior co-stars. However, over time, she began to enjoy acting alongside Cut Mini, Indro Warkop, Clara Bermadeth, and Abun Sungkar.

"Acting is difficult. At first, I was nervous because I had to act with seniors. But, I enjoyed it because the people here, like Ibu Cut, Mbak Clara, Abun, are great to work with. It was all fun," explained the Bali-born actress.

4. Left Behind Moving House

KAPAN PINDAH RUMAH is available for streaming on Klik Film starting from December 17, 2021. It is adapted from a novel with the same title, which is one of the seven winning works from the Falcon Script Hunt competition.

The film tells the story of Arum (played by Cut Mini), a single mother with three adult children. One day, she faces conflicts with her children when they decide to move house.
