The reason for the dismissal of this Mexican actress is due to her voice action being considered as antisemitism or hostile action. Spyglass, the company behind the Scream franchise, confirmed the firing of Melissa Barrera.

"We do not tolerate antisemitism or incitement to hatred in any form, including false references to genocide, ethnic cleansing, distortion of the Holocaust, or anything that blatantly violates boundaries and becomes hate speech," stated a representative from Spyglass quoted by The Hollywood Reporter on Wednesday (11/22).
