The second season of Wind Breaker, continues the journey of Haruka Sakura, a first-year high school student at Furin who wants to be the strongest. After a fierce battle in the first season, Sakura now has to face the main chapter of the complex high school life. As the Class President, Sakura struggles to realize the true meaning of strength, which is not only measured by fighting ability but also by the ability to protect friends and the city.

The peace of Bofurin is soon tested with the emergence of a new, more dangerous enemy, the KEEL Gang. Unlike previous opponents, this gang operates more brutally, using blunt and sharp weapons in their fights. In the story, the leadership structure of Bofurin is inspired by Buddhism. Under the supreme leader (Hajime Umemiya), there are four team leaders or generals known as the "Four Kings of Bofurin." These Four Kings consist of Toma Hiragi (Tamon), Tasuku Tsubakino (Jikoku), Saku Mizuki (Zocho), and Takumi Momose (Komoku), based on the Four Heavenly Kings in Buddhist belief, who are protective deities guarding the four cardinal directions.

The popularity of Wind Breaker is not limited to its anime and manga. After the final airing of the second season, it was announced that the series will receive a Live Action film adaptation, scheduled to be released in Japanese theaters in December 2025.
