Tanjiro is also assisted by the spirits of two of Sakonji's deceased students, Makomo and Sabito, who provide strength and water breathing techniques that enable him to survive the upcoming harsh trials.

The Final Selection exam takes place on Mount Fujikasane, a location filled with dangerous demons. There, Tanjiro must survive for seven days facing ferocious demons that roam the area.

This exam not only tests fighting abilities but also the determination and mental strength of the demon slayer candidates. During the exam, Tanjiro faces a powerful enemy who has killed many of Sakonji's students, and with the help of the spirits of Sabito and Makomo, he manages to defeat the demon.
