NEKO OJI: NEKO NI TENSEI SHITA OJISAN tells the story of a man who dies prematurely and is reincarnated as a cat. He is then picked up from the street by the president of the company where he used to work.

The grandfather who has turned into a cat expresses his frustration in the most adorable ways, with his tiny paws, fluffy tail, and large, expressive eyes that make it hard to take him seriously.

The anime NEKO OJI is an adaptation of a similarly titled manga written and illustrated by Yajima, which has been published as a web manga on Twitter & Instagram since February 2023. The manga was then serialized by Kadokawa Corporation in October of the same year. The NEKO OJI manga series has been compiled into 3 tankobon volumes by Kadokawa Shoten in September 2024.
