The story begins when Lin Qingmiao was eight years old. At that time, her father accidentally hit a woman named Zhou Jin, resulting in her death in a hit-and-run accident. This incident became a turning point in Qingmiao's life.

Instead of receiving sympathy when revealing the truth, Qingmiao was accused of being a traitor for reporting her father to the police. This label stuck and led to the stigma and bullying she endured for years.

The constant pressure made Qingmiao choose to leave her old identity behind. She changed her name to Sun Tao and decided to go to Gangcheng, hoping to start a completely new life.

2. New Identity and a Life-Changing Encounter

In Gangcheng, Qingmiao tries to build a different routine to reshape her future. The new environment opens up opportunities for her to move forward without the shadows of past events that limited her movements.

In the process, she meets a driver named Zhou Yusheng. This man is portrayed as having lost his direction in life, someone who is searching for a grip to get back on track.

The initially accidental meeting develops into closeness. Before long, their time together turns into love. For the first time in a long while, Qingmiao feels happiness that she thought had been lost.

3. When Secrets Are Revealed and Love Is Tested

The happiness did not last smoothly. Qingmiao then discovered that Zhou Yusheng was actually Zhou Jin, a figure directly linked to the tragedy that had shattered her life since childhood.

This fact placed their relationship at a crossroads. On one hand, Qingmiao had fallen in love with the man who had been by her side all along. On the other hand, the past that she had tried to leave behind for years resurfaced and threatened everything.

Feelings of love had to confront guilt, hatred, and old wounds that had not healed. Qingmiao faced a choice: accept the reality of Zhou Yusheng's identity, or take steps that would have consequences for her family's past.

What will happen to the relationship between Qingmiao and Zhou Yusheng after the secret is revealed? Can the love they built endure amidst the painful truth?
