Actress Tara Basro shared an emotional post to remember her friend, the late Vidi Aldiano. In a lengthy caption on social media, Tara wrote about various memories they shared together over the years.

"Your birthday was yesterday, I don’t know why I suddenly wanted to create something. Not buy, but make. So I made a scrapbook. Hoping you could smile when you opened each page," Tara wrote.
Tara admitted that she initially thought the gift was just a small gesture to celebrate her friend's birthday. "At first, I thought it was just a small gift to cheer you up and celebrate you. But without me realizing it, it turned out to be the last one," she continued.
Tara then reminisced about the long journey of their friendship that has lasted for over a decade. "Seventeen years we've been celebrating each other's birthdays. When I think about it, you are part of half my life. Half of my story. And half of who I am today," she revealed.
The feeling of loss, according to Tara, still feels very real to this day. "Loss is strange. Until now, I still often wait for a video call from you, as if at any moment your face will appear on my phone screen and we can chat about anything," she wrote again.
Tara feels very grateful to have spent time with Vidi in his last days. "I am very thankful and lucky to have spent your last few days together. Those moments felt magical."
Tara also feels a bit at peace seeing Vidi leave with a smile. "In the end, when I saw your smile, my heart felt a little more at ease knowing that now you are no longer in pain. You can eat whatever you want, sing to your heart's content, go wherever you want, there are no more limits."
Tara then conveyed a special message to Sheila. "Vid, I'm glad you have Sheila as your life partner. She's really cool. And you must know why. She also emphasized that Sheila will not be alone because she is surrounded by many friends. "So don't worry, Vid. Sheila is not alone. She has left behind a lot of friends, even more than she wanted, hahahhaha."
Tara also showed a photo of a letter written by Vidi's wife, Sheila Dara Aisha, which contained a message full of love. The letter was written in Croatian with the sentence, "Pa moram zivjeti i deset tisuca zivota, uvijek bih izabrala tebe," which means, "If I had to live ten thousand lives, I would always choose you."
