There are many stories left from the burial procession of Indonesia's third former president, Bacharuddin Jusuf Habibie or B.J. Habibie.

One of them is the story from his grave digger at Kalibata Heroes Cemetery. It is Isa Anshori, a grave digger at TMP Kalibata who seemed unsurprised by Habibie's passing.

"Because every Friday the staff always goes to Bu Ainun's grave, I thought he was sick. Because Mr. Habibie would not be absent unless he was overseas or sick. These past few days, the staff keeps going," he said as quoted by CNN Indonesia.

This is a picture of the grave. Measuring 200x70 cm, the grave was worked on by Isa and 14 of his friends.

The excavation was carried out from 8 pm until almost midnight. He mentioned that Habibie's grave was relatively easy to dig because the soil was soft.

"The soil in the hole itself is soft and easy, there are no stones, nothing. Usually, there are stones or gravel, there is wood. So for this one, the soil is not too hard," said Isa.

Habibie was buried next to his wife, Ainun Besari. The funeral was attended by President Joko Widodo, who acted as the ceremony inspector.
