The Case File of Nikita Mirzani is Not Yet P21, Is There a Possibility of Freedom?

The Head of the Legal Information Section of the DKI Jakarta High Prosecutor's Office, Syahron Hasibuan, provided further explanation regarding the status of the case file. He stated that the Public Prosecutor will determine whether the file has met the guidelines or not within the next 14 days.

"Until the next 14 days, the Public Prosecutor will determine their stance on whether the guidelines provided in the previous P-19 file have been fulfilled or not," Syahron stated on Wednesday (14/5/2025) at the DKI Jakarta Prosecutor's Office, South Jakarta.

If the file is still not declared complete or reaches P-21 status within the specified time, there is a possibility for Nikita Mirzani to be released for legal reasons. This is because the additional detention period against her will end on June 2, 2025.

"The provisions are such, free by law. But there is still time (for document examination)," said Syahron.

"Give time to the friends in the public prosecutor's office and also the investigators to study and conduct intensive coordination to finalize the reports related to the suspects receiving legal certainty. Yes, we are optimistic that it will be resolved," added Syahron.

As is known, Nikita Mirzani and her assistant, known by the initials IM (Mail), have been named suspects in a case of alleged criminal threats and extortion through electronic media. Both have been in detention since March 4, 2025, and their detention has been extended for 30 days since May 2, 2025.

The case involving Nikita and Mail stems from allegations of extortion against beauty doctor Reza Gladys, with an amount reportedly reaching Rp 5 billion. If this file is not resolved promptly, the continuation of this case will depend on the decision of the public prosecutor within the remaining time.
