The Chronology of the Death of Tatty Maryati, Mother of Senior Actress Yati Surachman, Has Been Dropping in the Last Week

Kapanlagi.com - Senior actress Yati Surachman is mourning the death of her mother on Sunday (19/7/2020). Tatty Maryati Surachman took her last breath at the age of 80 due to diabetes and stroke that she had been suffering from for almost 20 years.

Yati Surachman revealed that her mother had expressed a quite specific request regarding her death. The late wished to be buried in the same grave as her husband.

"Yes, my father passed away 7 years ago. If she asked since the last year, she said she wanted to die, I joked that there is no one to sell if she dies, that's why I told her that it's better for her to surrender, be grateful, the important thing is that she is healthy, but maybe because of her age, maybe because she already has grandchildren, many, married young too, quickly had grandchildren," said Yati Surachman when met at TPU Kemiri, Rawamangun, East Jakarta.

"My mother is 80 years old, still young. Married young at the age of 16, already had me, I am the first child," she added.

1. Taking Turns to Take Care of Mother

According to Yati Surachman's confession, almost all of her siblings took turns accompanying their mother, even until late at night. Although they have devoted everything to their late mother for the past 3 years, Yati admitted that their togetherness was still not enough.

"During the last 7 days, we stayed up all night. But we took turns, no. 2, no. 5, no. 6, no. 3, no. 8, no. 7, we just took turns. Coincidentally, I was like a security guard, outside because the door wasn't locked, I didn't know, we just didn't want to lock it. My younger sibling number 2 said just open it, so because it was opened, I stayed on guard. In the end, she always called my younger sibling number 6, named Eron. Maybe because they live together and in the end, she couldn't use a wheelchair, so my younger sibling carried her, that's why my younger sibling was sought after. She also called me 'mbak' (sister), I like to joke around, so that later when I remember, but sometimes I don't know, it's sad that 3 years with my mother is still not enough," said Yati Surachman.

2. Health Condition Drops

Before passing away, Tatty Maryati's health condition, who had been suffering from stroke and diabetes for quite a long time, had worsened, making her children unable to hold back their tears. The grief over the departure of their mother still feels fresh in Yati Surachman's heart.

"In the past week, her condition has been fluctuating, meaning she seemed like she wanted to finish it, and then it happened again. So after Asr prayer, during Maghrib, she seemed like she wanted to finish it, and the others were already crying. I didn't cry when I took my last breath, but now I cry and feel the loss," she said.
