Paundrakarna is the eldest child of the two siblings of KGPAA Mangkunegara IX from Keraton Solo and Sukmawati Soekarnoputri. This means that Paundra is the third generation of the Soekarno family.
Paundra apparently was also a politician from PDIP and a member of the DPRD in Solo. However, along the way, he was removed from his position because he was considered less active in DPRD activities.
A while ago, Paundra was rumored to be the Vice Mayor of Surakarta accompanying Gibran Rakabuming. However, it seems that the plan did not materialize.
Paundra used to study Graphic Design at Trisakti University. However, he felt uncomfortable and decided to drop out after a year of studying. Paundra eventually chose to enter the Indonesian Communication Academy in Yogyakarta, majoring in broadcasting, and graduated in 2000.
