The position of the vocalist is now filled by Charly van Houten, the band Repvblik admits to still having a good relationship with Ruri

Kapanlagi.com - The name of the band group Repvblik is certainly not unfamiliar to the Indonesian people. Now, the band that was formed in 2014 has changed its name to New Repvblik.

Interestingly, since the position of the vocalist was empty due to Ruri's departure, the position is now filled by former ST12 vocalist. Yes, Charly van Houten now replaces Ruri as the vocalist of the Repvblik band.

1. Stay in Good Relationship

Although the vocalist has now changed, Lavy, the bassist of New Repvblik, said that his relationship with the previous vocalist, Ruri, is still good. Despite rarely communicating, both Repvblik and Ruri have no problems at all.

 "At the beginning, we didn't have many activities, and maybe it's also because we rarely communicate. But as for the relationship between us, everything is fine," said Lavy Repvblik when met in the Tendean area, Monday (16/11).

2. Keep Creating

Lavy also revealed that with Charly as the new vocalist, he and Repvblik can continue to create. And what the future holds, he hasn't thought too much about it.

"The important thing is that we keep creating, because the band is just a vessel for the work. For now, we'll just go with the flow, but for the future, we'll see," he said.

3. There are Several Vocalist Candidates

In addition, before appointing Charly Van Houten as the vocalist, there were already several other candidates. But because they often participated in the same events with Charly, both Lavy and other band members felt a connection with the 38-year-old man.

"Previously, we did have several candidates, but with Charly, we often did events together, we often discussed and talked. Alhamdulillah, Charly did indeed accept our offer," he concluded.
