She shared her experience when her son was on a break from education and was busy playing with his phone. Depe openly admitted that she often wants to know who her son is communicating with, especially if there are suspicious messages.

"So, his mom likes to check my child's phone, I check it like I'm Gabriel's girlfriend. Then if someone calls him sweetheart, I ask 'Who is this sweetheart?' Turns out, oh no, it's just normal, the child is open," said Dewi Perssik when met at Plataran Senayan, Monday (16/2/2026).

According to Depe, openness is the key in her relationship with Gabriel. Although she often checks her child's privacy, Gabriel never feels uncomfortable and always answers his mother's questions honestly without hiding anything.

"I once took his phone, you know, he was probably having fun and never held a phone. I took his phone, and I said, 'Let me see,' like that. He was like, 'What is it?' So I became a mom, you know, remembering Mas Gabriel's friends," she recounted.

In addition to checking her phone, Depe also tries to create a comfortable atmosphere when Gabriel is at home. She is even willing to limit the use of cameras or social media content so that her child can feel free and relaxed while spending time with her.

"I want my child to be with me, so he doesn't go anywhere. 'Mom, don't go anywhere,' especially if he's being filmed like that, it's poor him (standing) all the time. So I feel like I'm like 'Bro, just relax,' because there's a camera, you know. So maybe that's what needs to be disciplined in a child," said Depe.

This step is taken by Depe because she greatly values her child's very limited rest time. For her, the five days off that Gabriel has should be used to truly rest and strengthen the bond between mother and child.
