This was confirmed by the Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of South Jakarta Metro Police, Kompol Irwandhy Idrus. He stated that the victim has submitted three letters to the police.
"The victim has requested restorative justice. Three letters have been submitted, the first one is for restorative justice, the second one is for the withdrawal of the police report, and the third one is for the agreement of reconciliation," said Kompol Irwandhy Idrus when met at the South Jakarta Metro Police, Tuesday (15/7/2023).

Furthermore, Kompol Irwandhy Idrus stated that the background of restorative justice was proposed by the reporter or victim. Apparently, for humanitarian reasons.
"The reason for the victim to withdraw the report is basically because of humanitarian reasons, which is forgiveness. Because they saw good intentions from the suspect's family who visited the victim and apologized," said Kompol Irwandhy Idrus.
Kompol Irwandhy Idrus revealed that the investigators are currently processing the application from the reporter or victim. Before Pierre Gruno is released.
"So far, the investigators will process the victim's request regarding the withdrawal and the request for restorative justice. After that, we will hold a case conference. We will also conduct additional examinations of the suspect and the victim regarding the process submitted to us," said Kompol Irwandhy.
