The Story of the Late Deddy Dores' Son, Career Difficulties & Formerly Became a Laborer

Kapanlagi.com - Throughout his life, Deddy Dores was known as one of the successful musicians in the country with his hit songs like Hanya Kau di Hatiku (Only You in My Heart). However, surprisingly, his son, Calvin Dores, is facing a completely different fate and is struggling to enter the music industry.

While many celebrity children easily enter television and become influencers, Calvin has been working hard to make a living through odd jobs. He even used to work as a laborer and an online motorcycle taxi driver to support his family.

"Initially, I received information from social media and my team about the current condition of Deddy Dores' son, which is far from what it used to be. He is now struggling to provide for his family. So, that day, I immediately contacted Calvin to confirm his condition. And on that day, I also asked for his home address because I felt the urge to meet him," revealed Ruri Repvblik on Friday (14/8).

1. Since the Late Deddy Dores Passed Away

From the moment of the meeting, which was also broadcasted on Ruri Wantogia's YouTube channel, it is known that Calvin's financial crisis began since his late father passed away. He is grateful to still receive royalties, but the amount is not much.

"That's why I try to invite him to work together again.. I will help Calvin as much as possible. He has composed many songs, it seems that the artistic blood runs in his father's family," Ruri continued. 

2. Supporting His Career

Calvin himself has repeatedly offered his song demos to labels. However, until now, there have been no visible results or progress. Ruri plans to help by re-arranging the songs so that they become better and can be accepted by music enthusiasts.

"They are good, I have listened to him sing directly and listened to the demos on his phone. There is a song that I really like. The song was inspired by his late father. He has many works, but I haven't listened to many of them. Maybe next time I will try to listen to more of his works," concluded Ruri.
