Bunga Zainal mentioned that her mother did not approve of her marrying Sukhdev Singh. Especially since Bunga was at the peak of her career and still quite young.

"My mother used to be my manager. At the peak of my career, I stopped to ask for permission to get married. Then my mother didn't like it because of the religious and age differences. And my husband, after getting married, was not allowed to work. That means my mother's income also stopped," said Bunga as quoted from The Hermansyah A6's YouTube channel.

"So my mother felt like, 'Who is this person suddenly coming and cutting off my child's career?' It's a normal thing, I totally understand," she continued.

Bunga Zainal also estimated that her mother felt unappreciated by Sukhdev Singh. That's what made her mother refuse to give her blessing.

"And maybe my husband's bossy nature is too much, so it's like 'it's okay, later I'll meet your mom'. So my mom might feel like she's not appreciated by him or something. Actually, it's not like that," explained Bunga Zainal.

Since she didn't get her parents' blessing, Bunga Zainal finally dared to get married without their presence.

"But my mom showed that she didn't like it, so she was straightforward. So when I got married, my mom and dad didn't give their blessing. I got married on my own. The process was also outside the city, not in Jakarta," continued the 34-year-old woman.

2. Separated from Husband

When she was pregnant with her first child, Bunga Zainal then contacted her parents. After giving birth to her child, Bunga's relationship with her parents did not improve. In fact, she was separated from her husband for about 4 months.

"Finally, I informed my mom when I was pregnant. And my mom reluctantly came to see my child or something. Until my first child was born, my parents' main goal was to separate us (me and my husband)," she said.

"So I was separated from my husband. I stayed with my mom for 3-4 months. But during that time, I felt uncomfortable. I feel comfortable with my husband. I was confined and not allowed to meet anyone, not allowed to meet my husband," added Bunga.

3. Second Child Becomes Grandchild's Favorite

"Until finally, when I was pregnant with my second child, I apologized. Mama was upset at first, but eventually, she probably saw a cute grandchild. I know I was wrong," she said.

In addition to a better relationship, Bunga Zainal's second child, Harneel Pradhi Singh, has even become the favorite grandchild of his father.
