The Victim's Party in the Alleged Breach of Contract Case of Ustaz Yusuf Mansur Hopes for a Swift Trial

Kapanlagi.com - The trial of the breach of contract case involving Ustaz Yusuf Mansur as the defendant was held again at the Tangerang District Court on Thursday (3/2/2022). At the hearing, which was scheduled for the examination of the case files, the plaintiff's side was represented by their legal counsel.

Meanwhile, on the defendant's side, Ustaz Yusuf Mansur, who is the second defendant, was represented by his legal counsel, Ariel Mochtar. However, the other two defendants, namely the representatives of PT. Inex Arsinso as the second defendant, and Jodi Broto Seno as the third defendant, were unable to attend.

"Earlier, the first defendant was summoned by the court clerk. As for the third defendant, there was a mistake in the record. So the judge decided to postpone the trial and hold it again on February 24," said Ichwan Toni, the plaintiff's legal counsel at the Tangerang District Court on Thursday (3/2/2022).

1. Disappointed Session Postponed

The postponed session is a disappointment for Ichwan Toni. Moreover, so far, his side has followed all the procedures recommended by the court.

"We are disappointed because we have followed all the procedures. So, if we are disappointed, we are disappointed. The bottom line is we are disappointed," explained Ichwan Toni.

2. Don't Want It to Drag On

Ichwan Toni hopes that in the next session, all the defendants can be present so that the trial does not drag on.

"We don't want it to be prolonged, if there is good faith, it is better to attend. We don't want this to take a long time," said Ichwan Toni.

3. Compensation Lawsuit

Ichwan also hopes that the trial will only go as far as mediation with the defendants meeting his demands to pay compensation of approximately Rp 700 million.

"Our big hope, representing the plaintiffs, is to have a refund during the mediation process and not get into the substance of the case," he hoped.

"If it enters the substance of the case, it will definitely take a long time, if both parties do not agree, it will proceed to the High Court and even to the Supreme Court (Mahkamah Agung)," he added.

4. Always Cooperative

Meanwhile, Yusuf Mansur's lawyer, Ariel Mochtar, said that his client is always cooperative in fulfilling the court's summons.

"I am here representing the second defendant, Ustaz Yusuf Mansur. We will cooperate with this case," said Ariel Mochtar.

5. Demand for Profit-Sharing Promise

As is known, Ustaz Yusuf Mansur, PT Inex Arsinso, and Jodi Broto Seno are sued by 12 mothers who invested funds for the establishment of Hotel Siti in the Tangerang area.

The plaintiffs, who have been investing since 2012, are demanding the promise of Ustaz Yusuf Mansur to provide a profit-sharing of 8 percent per year from the invested capital.
