The Viral Story of Limbad Being Stopped by Saudi Immigration Because His Fangs Were Mistaken for a Devil, Here’s His Latest Clarification

The viral news comes from the famous magician of the homeland, Limbad. While performing Umrah in the Holy Land, the man known for his extreme actions without speaking reportedly faced difficulties when passing through Immigration in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

This story first emerged from comedian Abdur Arsyad in a podcast hosted by Arie Kriting and Praz Teguh. The video clip was then re-uploaded by the TikTok account @ClipPodcast and went viral.

In the video, Abdur recounts that Limbad was stopped by Immigration officers due to his eccentric appearance, particularly because of the permanent fangs he had implanted long ago.

"When he arrived at Jeddah Immigration, Limbad had fangs that were implanted and could not be removed. He was immediately detained. The officer said 'devil, devil'," Abdur said in a clip that made netizens laugh.

Due to language limitations, Limbad's group reportedly faced difficulties in communication. The Jeddah Immigration authorities were also reported to have tried to contact the Indonesian delegation. However, since help did not arrive, Limbad eventually took matters into his own hands.

"Because the wait was long, Mr. Limbad spoke at Immigration, 'I'm an Indonesian artist.' He showed his videos," continued Abdur.

Fortunately, after watching Limbad's performances in the videos, the Immigration authorities finally understood that the fangs were part of his artistic expression, not a dangerous symbol as they had initially suspected.

However, an official clarification also emerged from the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs as reported by Kompas.com. The Director of Citizen Protection at the Ministry, Judha Nugraha, denied the news that Limbad was detained.

"The Consulate General of Indonesia in Jeddah does not receive complaints or reports from Saudi authorities regarding this case," said Judha in a brief message.

Judha added that if there was indeed a detention of Indonesian citizens, the Saudi authorities should provide consular notification. He also mentioned that Limbad has informed the media that he did not experience any detention while in Saudi Arabia.

Even though it has been clarified, this story remains a hot topic among netizens, especially due to Limbad's unique style and his heroic action when introducing himself in English to resolve the misunderstanding.
