While many people choose to gather with relatives, the two instead enjoyed the beauty of Raja Ampat from aboard a phinisi boat. This moment immediately raised questions about why they chose to vacation on such a sacred day?

Answering the public's curiosity, Luna Maya finally spoke up. It turns out that the decision to celebrate Eid in the middle of the blue ocean was not to avoid family traditions, but rather a choice based on very mature logistical considerations that could not be negotiated.

This 42-year-old actress explained that the journey to the hidden paradise in eastern Indonesia has been her plan for a long time. However, the boat that she and her friends want happens to only have availability on the dates of the Eid holidays.

"It just so happens that I have been planning to go to Raja Ampat for a long time. And the boat that I want, I mean with my friends, is only available on those dates," she revealed when met in the Senayan area, Central Jakarta, on Wednesday (1/4/2026).

The second reason, which is equally crucial, is the weather and seasonal factors. According to Luna, April is the last chance to enjoy the charm of Raja Ampat before the season changes and the water conditions become less friendly. This is the moment of "now or never" for this year.

"And the season in Raja Ampat is about to end. Because in April, it's no longer the season for Raja Ampat. Why is it not the season? The waves are big, because it has moved to Labuan Bajo," he explained.

With those two strong reasons, Luna didn't want to miss this golden opportunity. She immediately discussed with her boyfriend, Maxime Bouttier, and her friends to ensure everyone could go together."Then I thought, well, I asked Max if he wanted to, then gathered the friends, and everyone was okay with it, so we just went. That's it," she said.

The star of THE DOLL also added that gathering a group for a long trip like Raja Ampat during the Eid moment is not an easy task. However, she is grateful because some of her friends welcomed the invitation warmly.

"Actually, finding someone who wants to go to Raja Ampat is not easy, because it's far away, and there are also many moments of Eid," he said.
