Jessica's mother opened up about herself and her husband being able to accept their child's true identity. When appearing on Maia Estianty's podcast, Jeje's mother recounted the beginning when she found out that her son enjoyed dressing up like a girl.

"In middle school, (she) would hide, buy wigs, buy things like that. Later, someone reported it, someone said that (she bought a wig), until (she) hid it in pillows, under the mattress," she said, quoted on Saturday (17/12/2023).

"The pillow has a zipper, I didn't know that. So if at school or somewhere, they said to wear a mini skirt. I only heard rumors like that. Then I asked, why are you like that? Eventually, it was found out, the wig was discovered," she continued.

Jessica or Bagas then admitted that her true identity is a woman. She was then questioned in the room by her mother and they ended up crying together.

"She said, 'I am like this, Mom. If you don't want to accept it, it's okay, Mom doesn't have to consider me as your child, it's okay, I accept it.' Like that," Jeje's mother explained.

2. Accepting the Choice of Her Child

The mother and child could only cry. Jessica or Bagas' mother then revealed what she said to her son at that time.

"You are still my child, always my child. I want to have you as my child, it's a struggle between life and death. So, you are still my child," she said.

After crying over her child's choice, Jessica's mother finally accepted her child's true identity. Jessica's mother then informed her husband. They agreed to consider this as a test from God.

"So, that's a test for us. We were given a first child with disabilities. Maybe Allah has not released the test for us, for our family," she said.

Jessica Rinrada's mother revealed that she does not want to abandon the child that she worked hard to have just because of deviant behavior.

"Why would I want to have a child, already have a child, and then throw it away, or kick it out of the house? And what kind of life would they have, living on the streets?" she concluded.
