Kapanlagi.com - Museum MACAN is holding an exhibition featuring the works of renowned artist Agus Suwage titled The Theater of Me. This exhibition is also a public and educational program integrated with activities for children.
During a press conference at the Museum MACAN in Kebon Jeruk, West Jakarta, on Thursday (2/6), Museum MACAN Director Aaron Seeto mentioned that this exhibition was designed to include various public and educational programs.
All of this is organized so that art can be accessed by the public more widely and to support children to be more involved with the exhibited artworks.
“This program will help the younger generation to understand the key concepts and ideas of one of the leading contemporary artists in Indonesia,” said Aaron.

Not only that, this educational program will also include the activity of Melirik Lirik Orkes Tunggal, a lyric writing project where children of all ages are invited to write lyrics for songs or melodies created by Agus Suwage. Selected song lyrics will be displayed every month at the MACAN Museum.
In addition, there are also other activities for children aimed at making and decorating toys from materials that are available at home. The activity is carried out through a guide inspired by Agus Suwage's main series entitled 'Toys 'S' US'.
MACAN Museum's approach to art education and diverse public programs are designed to ensure that artists like Agus Suwage become more well-known to younger generations.
This exhibition will be open from June 4 to October 15, 2022, and of course visitors who come to the museum must comply with strict health protocols.
