Trailer Release, 'PARANOIA' Film Produced by Miles Films to be Released in Theaters on November 11, 2021

Kapanlagi.com - Good news for Indonesian film fans. Miles Films has just released the trailer for their latest project, PARANOIA. Not only showing some scenes, the 60-second trailer uploaded on social media also reveals the release date, which is November 11, 2021, simultaneously in all theaters in Indonesia.

After more than 3 months of Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM) that caused Indonesian theaters to stop operating, finally in mid-September the theaters in Indonesia gradually became active again.

After NUSSA, a family animated film produced by Visinema Pictures, PARANOIA, the first thriller drama film by director Riri Riza and producer Mira Lesmana, will be the next Indonesian film to return to theaters.

"Our courage to still choose theaters as the screening venue for the film Paranoia is not only to encourage the Indonesian film industry, but also other industries," said Riri Riza, producer of the film PARANOIA.

1. Becoming a Symbol

Mira Lesmana also stated that Indonesia has been quite good in handling Covid-19. And because the situation is slowly improving, of course, the economy will start to move again, one of which is the cinema.

"Indonesia has proven that it can control this pandemic remarkably. Now we are all ready to revive life and the economy while continuing to maintain health protocols," said Mira.

Mira continued, the film PARANOIA is a symbol that as workers in the film industry, we can still create without fear.

"The film PARANOIA is a symbol for us not to live in fear, and hopefully it can be the same encouragement for the audience," she added.

2. Film Workers Face Heavy Trials

The director, Riri Riza, revealed that during the pandemic, workers in the film industry have been one of the sectors greatly affected. However, the pandemic is not a reason for these film creators to stop working. 

"Filmmakers, actors, and all workers in the Indonesian film industry have faced heavy challenges during this pandemic. But as creators, we must not stop working and continue to prepare films that are close to the audience," said director Riri Riza.

"The time has come. Cinemas have prepared their health protocols very carefully and thoroughly. And cinemas are the most appropriate place to enjoy the film PARANOIA. We invite the audience to welcome the return of Indonesian films on the big screen," he added.

The film PARANOIA premiered at the 25th Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival (BIFAN) in South Korea in July 2021 and was selected as one of the 20 Recommended Films by the Association for the Indonesian Film Festival 2021. Paranoia, the latest production from Miles Films, will start screening exclusively in Indonesian cinemas on November 11, 2021.
