UN1TY Releases New Single 'Ya Udah' with a New Formation, a Song for Former Members?

Kapanlagi.com - Boygroup UN1TY has released their latest single titled Ya Udah. This is UN1TY's debut single with a new and fresher formation. As known, UN1TY now only operates with six members, namely Shandy, Gilang, Fenly, Fajri, Zweitson, and Fiki, after two members Ricky and Farhan decided to leave. This Ya Udah single also feels very special because it is a collaboration between UN1TY, Eka Gustiwana, and Patrick Effendy.

"This time I'm more excited because it's UN1TY's debut with six members, a new and fresher format. The concept is also a collaboration with people we have never worked with before, like Eka," said Patrick Effendy, the producer of UN1TY, during a press conference in Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta, on Thursday (8/6).

1. Story of the Song Ya Udah

This song tells a story about a relationship in friendship or romance that initially had the same goal but in the middle of the journey, someone chose to leave. Ya Udah represents the attitude of UN1TY when things in life don't go as expected.

"It's about a relationship, whether it's friendship or anything else, where we initially have the same goal and fight together, but in the middle of the road, someone will definitely leave, maybe because they have their own dreams. But it also tells us that there are things we can't control, so that's why we can only say Ya Udah," explained Fenly.

2. A Song for Former Members?

The story of the song Ya Udah seems to be in line with UN1TY's current condition, where they were recently left by two of their members. Is this song based on their personal experiences?

"Actually, from our previous songs, there are a lot of songs that are based on each member's personal experiences. So, Ya Udah is more general. In life, there are times when we fight for something together, but in the middle of the journey, someone may have to leave due to differences in vision or some problems. So, this song is a reminder for us that no matter what happens, we can do it, and that's what we want to convey in this song, that all the feelings we experience can become art, and we can share them, but not on a personal level," Fiki explained.
