Kapanlagi.com - The feud between Desiree Tarigan and Hotma Sitompul is escalating. The mother of singer Bams, formerly of Samsons, has officially reported her husband Hotma Sitompul and her lawyer Muara Karta to the South Jakarta Metro Police for alleged defamation.
"Alleged violations of Article 310 of the Indonesian Penal Code (Defamation), Article 311 of the Indonesian Penal Code (Slander), and Article 27 paragraph 3 of the Electronic Information and Transactions Law (Dissemination of Electronic Information Containing Defamation and Slander)," said Desiree Tarigan after filing a report at the South Jakarta Metro Police on Wednesday (7/4).

Desiree Tarigan admitted to being upset after being accused of infidelity by Muara Karta, Hotma Sitompul's legal representative, in several media appearances.
"As a victim, I obtained videos from several YouTube accounts and also from several media outlets regarding press conferences allegedly conducted by the Defendant (Muara Karta), where it is alleged that this was done with the approval or direction of Dr. Hotma Sitompoel, which contained defamatory and slanderous statements claiming that I had an affair with another man," said Desiree Tarigan.
"As a result, I feel harmed. Consequently, I filed a police report at the South Jakarta Metro Police," she continued.

In addition to defamation, Desiree Tarigan and her mother, Muliana Tarigan, also reported Hotma Sitompul for alleged land encroachment.
"The alleged violation of Article 167 of the Indonesian Criminal Code (KUHP) in conjunction with Article 385 of the Indonesian Criminal Code (land encroachment)," said Desiree Tarigan.
"My mother, as the victim, discovered that the Defendant allegedly encroached on my mother's land since February 12, 2021, until now. The Defendant is suspected of building a wall that used to be made of zinc and is now a wall on my mother's land without her permission. My mother feels harmed by this act, so she filed a police report at the South Jakarta Metro Police," she concluded.
