According to her husband's statement, Ussy Sulistiawaty always faints around 7 pm, wakes up briefly, and then faints again accompanied by seizures. As initial treatment, Ussy took blood-boosting medication because the celebrity couple suspected that Ussy's fainting was due to blood deficiency. For the safety of Ussy and her fetus, Andhika accompanied his wife for consultation with an obstetrician to determine the exact cause of the incident experienced by Ussy.

1. Fainting While Pregnant is not a Serious Case

Upon arriving at the hospital, Ussy-Andhika couple received an explanation from the obstetrician about Ussy's fainting incident. The doctor, who has been Ussy's regular doctor, explained that hormones during pregnancy make blood vessels elastic, causing frequent blood pressure drops. This is more likely to happen if the mother lacks food intake.

During his 20 years of practice, Dr. Bram has never encountered a serious case in women who faint during pregnancy. Physiological changes definitely occur in pregnant women, but if the organ conditions such as the heart and lungs are good, then there is no problem.

Ussy told the doctor that she also frequently faints when she was pregnant with her first child with Andhika. Ussy also added that she has thalassemia, a genetic disorder that causes the sufferer to experience anemia or blood deficiency.
