Usually hosting quizzes in Indonesia, Surya Insomnia received a 'response' while performing the Hajj pilgrimage in the Holy Land of Mecca. When about to perform the ritual of throwing stones, Surya suddenly got a quiz from the ustaz who accompanied him throughout the journey.
This incident was recorded by the ustaz and went viral online. Netizens said Surya received a 'response' because he is usually the one asking quiz questions to participants in Indonesia.
This is what happens when a quiz show host suddenly gets quizzed while performing Hajj in the Holy Land of Mecca. Surya Insomnia experienced it, and it became a moment full of laughter.
While on the way to throw the jamrah, a cleric named Burhan Ali suddenly threw a question at Surya. He referred to that moment as 'pranking the Arisan host'.
"What do we want, Mr. Surya?" asked the cleric. "We want to throw the jamrah," Surya replied. "Which jamrah, what jamrah?" the cleric asked back. "Jamrah...jamrah...so this is a test for me haha. The big jamrah," Surya answered stammering.
The cleric laughed upon hearing Surya's answer. Then Surya cheerfully greeted a person walking beside him.
"Jumrah aqabah," answered the ustaz. "Jumrah aqabah," replied Surya with a big smile. "Well, that's smarter, but you have to be tested first," said the ustaz while laughing. Not wanting to be tested alone, Surya searched for Afgan, who was also performing the pilgrimage with him. "Afgan has to be tested, Afgan," said Surya while peeking for the singer.
"Did you participate in the manasik yesterday?" asked the ustaz. "Of course," replied Surya. Then the ustaz asked how many times they would throw stones and which hand they would use. "Seven, ustaz. Throw one by one, if you throw them all it's a brawl. Use the right hand," replied Surya.
Afgan, who was behind Surya, laughed upon hearing the test given by the ustaz. Netizens also mentioned that Surya received 'payback' because in Indonesia, he is usually the one asking quiz questions.
