The English voice actor for Yuji Itadori explained that JUJUTSU KAISEN does not place romance as a focus. "In my opinion, it's purely platonic. What I like about JJK is that we hardly have time to think about romance. There are tasks that need to be faced," he said.

McArthur then expanded his explanation by highlighting the importance of non-romantic relationships among the characters. He mentioned that friendships are often seen as less prominent compared to romantic relationships. He continued, "Yuji, Nobara, and Megumi have a bond because of trauma and everything they have been through, and I think that’s very special."
