"Honestly, when I was in Kemang, I didn't move at all, I managed to order fried rice. Next to me, the brother was even able to cook," said Valerie Tifanka when met at GOR UNJ, Rawamangun, East Jakarta, Saturday (1/11/2025).

Not stopping there, after managing to move a little from the traffic jam, she filled her stomach again by stopping at a fast food restaurant through the drive-thru service. However, the journey was still very long.

"Basically, I went through the drive-thru at one of the restaurants, ate in the car, and still didn't arrive," she continued.

As a result of this incident, Valerie had to cancel her attendance at an important event. She admitted that she tried to wait until 10 PM, but the road conditions did not improve, making her give up. "I ended up apologizing for not being able to come, because I had tried until 10 PM and was still on the road, but I just couldn't make it," she explained.

Behind her unique story, Valerie also expressed her concern about Jakarta's increasing vulnerability to flooding during the rainy season. She urged the public to be more environmentally conscious. "Maybe we should pay more attention, especially not throwing trash carelessly. Kemang has been prone to flooding, so maybe it’s better to avoid going out when it rains," she said.
